This was a series of pictures I took of my baby cousin. In one of my first couple of blogs I posted a picture from the time when I took these. It wasn't particularly staged. I just snapped away at my cousin while he tried to recognize the teddy bear, then he got all excited once he did. The pure joy is what makes me love these pictures. As a baby, everyone is so excited about everything they discover and there's an innocence to it all.

JD Photo

This picture was taken on my family trip to Disney in August of 2011. I took it with my phone during the fireworks show, my attempt was to take the picture when the fireworks exploded creating a bright light that would reveal the castle which normally couldn't be seen cause it was late at night. My idea worked and the castle was visible just as the fireworks went up.

A Plannd Photo

This picture was a prank. I managed to take his pen and didn't know what to do with it. Eventually an idea came, make his pen a hostage, take a photo and send it to him for a ransom. Seeing the photo again reminds me of how long it took to get this photo. This was taken by a webcam at night. The light came from a flashlight I had to hold. There are four other photos, but this was the best.

Photo

I took this picture on a boradway trip to NYC with my school in 2009. The couple in the front of the picture is my friend and her boyfriend at the time. They didn't pose, they just had a "moment" and me and my other friend were fooling around with the camera and I took this. It was accidental but I'm glad it happened.

I took these two pictures the last time I went to Egypt which was in 2010. It was taken from my plane right before we reached the airport for landing. I've seen the pyramids multiple times, but looking outside my plane window and seeing them from high grounds is remarkable and it was the reason why I took this picture. It was a good way to start my trip.

Disney

I took this picture in Disney at the Magic Kingdom last year. I had no true purpose of capturing this image aside from the fact that it was such a pretty sight. I love how the water is right under the hotel and leads up to the park. Looking at this picture  now I think that I took it pretty proportionally. Im no photographer but I admire this picture so much and it makes me that much more excited for summer!

Alaskan Cruise - Tracy Arms Fjord

Our vacation last year was a cruise in Alaska. This photo was taken from the ship's deck as we made our way along the Tracy Arms Fjord. This passageway is very narrow for a cruise ship to maneuver. The pieces of ice that are in the water are what has been broken from the glacier at the very end of the passageway in the center of the photo, at the "V" of the mountain of rock.  It was an early morning voyage, so with the sun at just the right angle it created the mirror reflection in the water, as well as the shadowing on the mountain side. This was taken to commemorate this leg of our voyage, to view nature and a part of our country in it's glorious splendor. This photo could be considered a piece of emphemeral art as it changes constantly.
