I have chosen this piece of conceptual art by Sol Lewitt.
Lewitt created a city of random free-formed, geometric shapes in bright bold colors mimicking the New York skyline, in the background. Obviously, Lewitt was displeased with looking at NYC's buildings in their shades of gray and boring rectangular shapes and sizes. His work and concept can be mentally interesting to the spectator, possibly making us think about what a city could be like with more color - especially on a dank, dreary rainy day!
