This statue was created for Joe Paterno's career as a head football coach at Penn State. Having passed away on Sunday, (1/22/12) the image shows how students from Penn State are commemorating his legacy by placing objects with his name, such as, magazines with him on the cover, and anything else that has records of his journey through life as coach. Joe Paterno will always be remembered, through the commemorative statue for what he did for the Penn State football team, and for Penn State and it's alumni in general.
