To Create Extra-Ordinary Versions of Ordinary Objects

This picture shows the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec, Canada. The Chateau is now a hotel, which I have stayed at. As both a past home and now a hotel, the building is far more opulent than a traditional home or hotel. The architecture reveals that whoever designed it wanted it to be a work of beauty and not just functional. As with many castles and great estates, there is an element of art because it is designed to show both beauty and power in addition to serving a necessary function.
